Foreword

In our previous book, COMMON QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GRACE MESSAGE, we answered 20 of the first questions that often arise after one is exposed to the grace message. Because of the warm and enthusiastic response to this book, we have compiled a second list of twenty questions which we have encountered over the years. These questions represent a deeper look into the various facets of grace, especially as it relates to (or contrasts with) the other programs of God. It is our hope that this book will prod the serious student to a better understanding of the Word of God, rightly divided as well as a greater appreciation for the grace of God. As with all of our writings, we challenge the reader to emulate the spirit of the noble Bereans who "received the word with all readiness of mind and searched the scriptures daily to see whether these things were so" (Acts 17:11). The questions contained in this book come from a variety of sources. Most are derived from questions raised in home Bible classes, mid-week Bible studies, personal conversations, letters, and even anonymous phone calls. A few have been posed by opponents to the principles of "right division" of Scripture, but happily, we can report that most of these questions have come from sincere students of the Bible who are honestly seeking the truth. While we have attempted to include sufficient Scripture references to support the answers contained in this book, we urge the reader to study with their Bible close at hand in order to get a broader context of the passages under consideration. This book, as any writing should, is designed merely to point the reader to THE BOOK, the Holy Scriptures. With all of this in mind we now invite you, the reader, to join in a study of some ADVANCED QUESTIONS ABOUT THE GRACE  MESSAGE.
